Post-Game HNLI This Saturday

Be sure to tune into this Saturday's episode of Hockey Night on Long Island at 3:30 PM EST immediately following the Islanders' matinee game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

FYI:The Islanders take the ice at the Wachovia Center at 1 PM.

While regular host Steve will be absent this weekend, HNLI Host Alex will be joined by a special guest co-host, Mike Schuerlein of islesblogger.com, for post-game analysis and the latest in Isles news and buzz. Also joining in on the banter will be Mike from the Flyers Fan Central blog for a Philly perspective on the afternoon affair. All throughout the show, the HNLI panel will be taking your phone calls and instant messages so you can jump into the conversation. Tough Loss, Great Show

For the second straight weekend, the Islanders lost their Saturday afternoon game leaving Hockey Night on Long Island with a cloud hanging over the post-game episodes. Nonetheless, Saturday's episode, which followed the 4-1 loss against Philadelphia, was another entertaining hour of New York Islanders talk. Steve, who was holding down the fort in studio, was joined by co-host Alex on location at the Nassau Coliseum and Bill from New York Islanders Fan Central. The trio discussed the effects of the Marc-Andre Bergeron Trade, Miroslav Satan on the Powerplay, the Core of the Four, the recent play of Rick DiPietro, and much more. For the first time in a long time the phones wouldn't stop ringing, making for an awesome episode with some great listener interaction. Saturday's episode was truly a lot of fun for both the hosts and the listeners despite the loss that preceeded it. Outsider our Insider this Saturday

Be sure to tune in for a special post-game edition of Hockey Night on Long Island this Saturday at 4:30 PM EST. The show will immediatley follow the Islanders' matinee game against the Montreal Canadians. While unfortunately Alex will be a healthy scrach for this weekend's episode, Ken Rosenblatt of The Islanders Outsider will join Steve to report and reflect upon the afternoon's matchup against the Habs. To make things even more interesting, HNLI is hoping to host a special Habs guest.....can you say banter?!
