HNLI Midseason Special Delivers
Saturday's special 90-minute Midseason Special on Hockey Night on Long Island was surely one for the ages. With special guest Michael Fornabaio of the Connecticut Post, hosts Alex and Steve discussed the arrival of Kyle Okposo in Bridgeport, the status of Jeff Tambellini, and much more about the Islanders' top farm team, the Soundtigers. For the remaining 60 minutes, the guys covered the big club with special guest Bill from New York Islanders Fan Central. The trio broke down the team's current roadtrip, discussed Rick DiPietro's all-star selection, and finally evaluated (and debated) the first half of the team's season. The guys discussed who might be the midseason front runners for the "Nystrom Award" and graded the contributions of just about every Islander thus far. The show went right to the 90-minute mark, although the time just flew by thanks to some great contributions from the HNLI Chatroom. If you missed Saturday's HNLI or would like to hear this great segment again, go to the show page or subscribe to the podcast by searching "Hockey Night on Long Island" in the iTunes music store. Thanks to everyone who listened to the Midseason special and be sure to tune in next Saturday at 3:30 PM EST.
