Be sure to tune in this Saturday for what is bound to be an epic episode of Hockey Night on Long Island. Joining hosts Alex and Steve at 3:30 PM EST will be Steve Mears, the radio voice of the New York Islanders. As all Islander fans know, Mr. Mears is one of the top members of the media covering the team and is a highly respected NHL play-by-play announcer. Having him on the show will be an absolute thrill. All of the latest in Islander country, including both on-ice topics and the Lighthouse project, will be discussed. If you have any particular questions or topics for Steve Mears, feel free to post them in a comment to this entry. We will of course be taking questions via IM and the chatroom during the show and will more than likely take a few phone calls with Mr. Mears.
In addition, HNLI will be joined by Lisa (aka the HockeyWench) from The Thrashers 411 in order to preview the Islanders' Saturday night contest against Atlanta. It will be a great preview of Saturday night and will give listeners the perspective of a Thrashers fan going into an exciting game.
So, be sure to tune in for what is going to be an amazing episode of Hockey Night on Long Island this Saturday at 3:30 PM EST.
